Many thanks, Paul. I was able to adapt your script to my exact needs.

Here's why I wanted it:

As I said, I get film listings for local cinemas via email. These are in HTML format, and I find them easier to read in a browser than in Entourage or Mail. Also, they contain links to film info sites, online booking services, etc... clicking on any of which will open the link in a web browser. So I might as well be using the browser in the first place.

All my web browsing starts from a local home page what I made myself, full of links to sites I visit regularly. I want those links to include the HTML format film listings saved out of Entourage, and when new sets of listings are mailed to me, I want them to overwrite older listings so that the links on my home page always lead to up-to-date information.

Early trials have been a resounding success. Now to try it with the daily headlines I get from the NYT. And figure out how to do all this in Mail...
