I haven't done this for our group, but at our school we use Lands' End
for our logo gear. The quality is very good and they are easy to work
with. You can check it out here:

At Macworld Expo this past week I saw several user group members

I'd love to improve the appearance of our group's logo gear, and would
appreciate any advice you have to share.
Does your group have embroidered polos or other logo gear? Are they
made
locally or ordered from a distributor?
Have you found any sources with particularly good quality and/or
pricing?
Any tips on design? Is it worth the extra expense to have your
group's URL
embroidered on a sleeve?
Do you have any advice on choosing shirt materials or colors?
Anything to
favor or avoid?
We had our logo designed & registered for Spartanburg Mac User Group
with a
local Italian embroiderer so we could put it on any articlebshirts,
polos,
hats, bags, foreheads, etc.
The more colors, the more threads, the more it costs. We had the url
on the
sleeve & the MUG logo on the pocket. If you don't have to negotiate
sewing through a pocket, the price decreases. I think it cost about
US$75
for the logo, then after that, each shirt cost about 11 or 12 bucks
depending
on the quantity being prepared.
I do suggest using high quality materials for your clothing articles
since
they are for an Apple MUG!
