All,
My name is Seth and I help manage the partnership between EarthLink and
Apple. Based on this string of emails I went ahead made sure that the
Knowledge base article specifically mentions Safari now. I hope that
helps clear up the mix up.
Thanks!

Gary,
Safari does support good encryption.
However, if your bank is really lame, they will code the web page to
only
work with the browsers they mention, regardless of weather or not your
web browser meets the stated requirements. If that's the case,
definitely
give the Safari Debug menu a try. It can then pretend to be a different
browser, and in many cases blow right by their stupidly small-minded
web
page programming.

Hope this helps.

I received this message as I went to check my web mail through
Earthlink
account, "ATTENTION! Does your Web browser support 128-bit
encryption? If
not, you
will soon lose access to Web Mail! For details, see Web Mail help."
In reviewing their link, they do not list Safari 1.2.2 (v125.8) as a
supported browser.
Does Safari support 128-bit encryption? Does it support Earthlink WAM
(web
accessed mail)?
