Be sure to demo ripping and burning a CD in iTunes.
If you have a folder of digital photographs, drag it on top of an icon
for GraphicConverter and see the speed at which it opens in a browser
window. Or open it on the desktop, select all, and open them-the
default should be Preview. If anyone uses iPhoto, demo it on the G5 to
compare the performance. If you have microshaft Word, OPEN it, see how
many times the icon in the dock bounces.

I'm going to be demo'ing a G5 dual, 2 GHz machine this weekend for our
user group and am kind of stuck for ideas. Any recommendations on what
tasks people would like to see a G5 perform?
The only thing that I have planned right now is a demo on compressing a
30 minute video, which is something that a lot of people in this group
are interested in since many of them use their Macs to archive old
video programs. Any suggestions would be very welcome.
