Hi Lorene,
You, your volunteers and your board did a terrific job putting on your 12th
Annual Mac Computer Expo (MCE) on Saturday, September 18, 2004. I was very
glad that I flew from Philadelphia to witness this wonderful event. Kudos to
you and your group for the success of the event. I saw volunteerism at its
best. You are all a bunch of classy people who make the Santa Rosa community
proud. Thanks for inviting me. I learned a lot. But I digress from the topic
at hand SIGs.
We are in the process of reorganizing four of the 7 SIGs to serve the
members better. Currently four meet one hour before our regular monthly
meeting in a church where we pay rent. These are the New Users,
Intermediate/Advanced, Digital Graphics, OS X. Off-site at other times are
StartUp Folder Lite meets in a mall office, Genealogy meets in a library,
and Programming meets in a local reseller's training room.
We have a Welcome Kit, given to new members, with a brief description of
each SIG so they can select what SIG suits them best.
