In Tucson, last Jan/Feb, we got a small Apple retail store in the "boutique" style. This means no space for presentations; they use folding chairs and a large screen monitor. The manager is very personable, but pointed out that Apple corporate policy prohibits direct interaction with MUGs, to include not allowing a brochure holder to be visible; instead they have placed a supply of our brochures in the large drawer next to the cash register. If anyone asks about a MUG in the area they hand one out. We were able to get our brochures placed this way because we have a sticker on each one that reads, "Buy a new Mac from this Apple store and get a $10 discount on your first year's membership in TMUG." This has also allowed our brochures to be placed in holders in the local Apple Specialist and CompUSA stores.
