May starts out with a bang at Mac User Groups around the world. On tap
are lots of interesting and informative topics and som ebigh name
presenters. Christopher Breen of Macworld, PlayListMag.com and
MacNotables will visit a group in California, Apple Senior Systems
Engineer Dave Mara will be in New York and Final Cut Pro Guru Kevin
Monahan will be in Chicago. User Group and Mac activitst Nicholas Pyers
will present in Australia, while the folks from Prosoft Engineering will
be in California and James Lee of Tropical Software will visit a Florida

and "Droidmaker" and His Experiences at Lucasfilm

Author Michael Rubin talks about how his new book, "Apple Training
Series: iLife '06" takes a project-oriented approach to working with
Apple's productivity suite and is the only Apple-certified book on the
subject. Michael also discusses his experiences in the Lucasfilm
Computer Division and why he documented the impact Lucasfilm has had in
his recently published book, "Droidmaker."

6 - MacGroup-Detroit Hits 400 Members, 20 Years And Woz Will Help Celebrate

Earlier this week, MacGroup-Detroit signed up its 400th member. David
Achey of Grand Blanc, Michigan became MacGroup's 400th member when he
renewed his membership at their April meeting. MacGroup is Michigan's
largest Macintosh users group, and was founded August 24th, 1986. In
celebrating its 20th anniversary this year MacGroup is also pleased to
announce that Steve Wozniak, Apple's co-founder will be the speaker for
MacGroup's 20th anniversary meeting on August 20th. (more)
