Old Macs seem to never go away.
After several years of refurbishing and donating, the
wave had gotten too much. Even the charities now say
if it's beige, don't bother. Beige now gets recycled.
(Literally) Anything of G4 and above is worth keeping
in service. The G4 level machines are completely capable
of all the high-end computing most people need to do.
I still have 8 late model beige Macs in perfect working
order, and a dozen or so Classics, SEs, and Quadras
If Apple doesn't get its act together on these one-piece
iMacs, there will probably be a LOT of those floating
in the recycling bins as well.

with 66% failure rate on iMacs, and 50% failure rate on
PowerBooks, but decided to clip it out.)
