This reply I don't get at all. There's nothing extraordinarily "right" about neutrality, nor would I suggest extraordinary wrongness. But let's not suggest that there never are issues that warrant pro-activity by enthusiasts. After all, if the object of their enthusiasm is threatened, who should respond-- NON-enthusiasts? Others should fight the battle for the enthusiasts? I don't think the world works that way. If a given band of enthusiasts doesn't want to get into a battle, so be it; they will have themselves to answer to. But if a different band sees it differently, the least possible reason for refraining from a response is that they "are enthusiasts."
