Well, OK. I'll clarify. Gary asked what our MUGs were "doing to keep the web
wide open." To which I replied the above.
I can only speak for our MUG, but we only take 2 positions. One, Apple
Macintosh computers are better than Windows-based PCs. Two, the only reason
we get together is to talk about number one.
We realize that we did not come together to discuss religion or politics. An
entire blogosphere's worth of coalitions and .org's flooding congress with
their grassroots effort to "fight the man" puts it in the political realm.
There are other and better times and places and forums that are specifically
suited for such discussions. We've decided that XMUG is not one of them.

Nice argument, but irrelevent to Gary's question.
