John,
I guess I was thinking it was like most of the demo software I get,
where it is a ful version, but if you write a review for the
website, it is yours to keep. I think they were planning to demo it,
but aren't ready yet.
I didn't read the stuff on the disk. I guess I should have.

Dear User Group Leaders,
Do any of you use MacOSX Server? I've seen it on the Mailbox disks

I guess is why they provide it free to user groups.
Well, not exactly. Apple doesn't provide it free, it provides it for
demonstration purposes. If you look over the documentation that was
on the
Mailbox DVD, it clearly states when the serial numbers will expire,
and what
they can be used for.
This morning the Pres called to say the serial number for MacOSX
Server has expired, and asked what we could do about it.
Unless your group is willing to part with money to buy a copy of
Mac OS X
Server, there really isn't anything legally you can do to extend
the date.
Now, if any of you have experience with this, I'm all ears!
This is another instance where I wish Apple extended the same
discount they
do to education buyers (students, faculty and staff) to MUGs and MUG
members.
