Hi Sam - Here are the results:
1 - Worked with Safari. Yeah!
2 - Not w/ Firefox. It has only one option to open with Preview or Download the PDF. Boohoo
3 - Not w/Camino. It still tries to use Quicktime with the single page. Boohoohoo.
4 - Not with ol' IE. It wants me to pick a plugin but its grayed out. So what.
5 - Not with AOL... but I wasn't expecting it to.
Oh well.

Gary,
Open 'System Preferences' and select 'QuickTime.' Then open the
'Advanced' tab (far right) and select the 'MIME Settings…' button. Then
open up the 'Images - Still image files' and de-select the 'PDF' button.
QuickTime is displaying your PDF's as images, and only the first page
shows – just like the preview in Finder in 'Column' view.
Whenever you update QuickTime (or Acrobat Pro, for that matter), you
have to be careful what you select in the setup windows if you want to
use the excellent Schubert|it PDF Browser Plugin.
