I agree with Lynn. Unfortunately some groups grow so large that being an officer almost becomes a part time job. I know of a number of such groups that started hiring someone to manage the group and it's resources. Soon the newsletter editor thought they should be compensated for the 40 page magazine that they produce monthly. Those who taught classes thought they too should get paid as did the person who created the disk or CD of the month.
Unfortunately most of those groups are no longer with us.
