Although, I haven't tried naming a custom preset to see if it will transfer, but, I am guessing it won't. Try it.

One of my group members liked an Internet article they read about setting up the iTunes equalizer to "perfect" custom settings of
db +3, +6, +9, +7, +6, +5, +7, +9, +11, +8 db
They liked the improved sound, and asked me if they can transfer this EQ custom preset (now in iTunes) to their iPod?
I don't know. Can they? Does their 'Pod pick up this setting once it synchs with iTunes?
