iMac Flat Panel G4 help
I put in DiskWarrior 3.0.3 in the iMac.
The CD appeared on the desktop.
I restarted holding the "C" key but the computer would not start from the CD.
I restarted holding the "OPTION" key but the computer would not offer start up disks.
(Now for my screw up).
I changed the Startup Disk in the Mac OS 10.4.11 System Preferences to the CD and restarted.
After running DW I restarted holding the EJECT key to spit out the CD. The iMac wouldn't. It started from the DW CD again.
I tried to restart again holding the mouse down to spit out the CD. It started from the DW CD again.
I connected an external LaCie CD/DVD drive to the iMac and put in the OS X installer CD. Then restarted again holding the "OPTION" key but the computer would not offer start up disks. DW did recognize that the installer CD was attached to the computer.
I know if I can reset the Mac I can enter
eject cd
and
mac-boot
but for the life of me I cannot find the RESET button on this machine. Does anybody know where it is?
Does anyone know a secrete keyboard trick to eject the CD (S-O-Cmd-Shift does nothing).
Even better, is there an eject pin-hole for CDs?
Heeelp!!
