The Mac@LehighValley MUG has posted a Lion webpage called Lion Vet*.
Our program tonight was based upon this webpage and our members experiences. This material is available for other groups to use in programs or newsletters.
* Lion Vet is a pun since Vet means both: 1) vetting a new Operating System as to whether it works for each of us 2) veterinarianing a wild animal that has found its way into our computers.
The website is based upon many links to Lion related websites. ===============
I. Upgrading to OS X Lion II. Things To Do After Installing OS X Lion III. Mac OS X 'Lion' bugs IV. OS X Lion Issues & How To Fix Them V. Lion causes problems for Adobe users VI. Apple Mac OS v10.7 Lion Support VII. Reasons Not To Upgrade to OS X Lion Yet
Note: 20% of our MUG members have moved to Lion, one after waiting 3 hours so as to not rush things. They are very happy and have had only minor problems. The remaining members are evaluating when to move. They realize they need to move eventually before buying a new computer, but need to convert some applications first. Some can't be converted since they need to use old software for discontinued hardware such as my Konica Minolta Dimage Scan Disk IV 35mm slide scanner. It's worth more than my computer. I will eventually end up with a dual-System setup after I get a new external drive.
