most of the content does not apply to Mac users.
Most malware has been Windows / Unix based, however more and more
are targeting mobile operating systems, and some attempts on Macs.
We publish the most news worthy regardless of platform because no

and the evils spawned on the computer world effects us all. . . .

05 YouTube Denied
If you find a YouTube video you really like, you probably
should download it.
I've found numerous videos I really loved ... might watch
maybe once a week or so -- but suddenly they're gone. For
any number of reasons, videos are removed from YouTube.
Never to be seen again. I still miss Alan Jackson's
"5-o'clock somewhere" video. Removed by the record company.
If I would have downloaded it, I would watch it right now.
Now, I have the FREE MacX YouTube Downloader

06 New in Mountain Lion (Part 2)
Mountain Lion IconLast week Last week I talked about
some of the new features in Mountain Lion. I would like to
continue that this week. Both articles are based on notes I
made when preparing for my presentation for the Tulsa Users
of Macintosh Society (TUMS), which I gave this past Tuesday
night.

07 40 Free Mac Fonts
MacWare logo Macware, a Mac software publisher, has
announced they are giving away 40 brand new free Mac fonts
on the MacAppSale website. Each Mac font is in OpenType font
format and includes a one (1) computer commercial use
license.

-------------------------------------------------------------------
08 SuperCard
Earlier this month, I saw an article that
mentioned that HyperCard was now 25 years old. Many people
mentioned that they thought it was the best application that
Apple ever released. Unfortunately it is no longer
available. However there is a clone of it still around.
SuperCard is now at version 4.7.3.

09 Notification Center & iTunes
TUAW has an article about how to get Notification Center to
show what music is playing.
This works with iTunes and other services like Spotify.

10 New ConceptDraw Solution for ConceptDraw PRO
Amazon has become a major player in practical,
affordable cloud computing for enterprise since the launch
of Amazon Web Service (AWS) in 2006. While the term cloud
sounds rather soft and nondescript, implementing a cloud
solution actually requires large amounts of attention to
detail.

11 IMHO iPad & iPhone apps that suck
Fred sez : What really burns me up is that lots of people have
posted their beaming, positive reviews of apps that suck.
As I review apps, many, many really suck.
Yet all their reviews are positive.
One reviewed yesterday uses improper english and grammar. Is
that what you want for your kids? I downloaded a SONG app
for my grandchild and it HAS THE WRONG CHORDS FOR THE SONGS
!!!! Unbelievable that an app developer creating a SONG app
doesn't use the correct chords???? Yet all the reviews are
positive??? Are the reviewers just stupid and don't know the
difference? Are those paid reviews ??? Reviews from the
developer???
So, I post my comment with the REAL evaluation, and it
doesn't show up. What's with that????
Something's really fishy.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
12 Photosynth Panorama App doesn't suck
Thanks to Evan London for his well stitched panorama on Facebook.
The caption read "panorama created by Photosynth for iOS" --
so I'm testing it, and it seems to work as promised. Created
by Microsoft! Capture and share interactive panoramas of the
places, people, and events that are important to you.

13 Apple Support that SUCKS
Wouldn't you know -- Apple makes a big deal about
feedback and has all sorts of pages dedicated to various
aspects of Apple ... I posted to their "Web Apps" feedback
page, clicked "SEND" ... and then received this :
> "I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could
> not be delivered to one or more recipients.
> email@hidden: 550 5.1.1 unknown or illegal alias:
> email@hidden.
> For further assistance, please send mail to email@hidden"
Oh well. So much for feedback.
