01 AUGD reader writes : Why Malware?
We've answered this question once before, and each time it
comes up the answer changes little.
An AUGD reader writes :
> I'm having a difficult time understanding why you continually
> lead with articles such as these that have no impact on OS X users.
> None of the malware described in these two articles is a known OS
X threat.
> I would not be totally surprised if something related shows up in the
> future, but there haven't been any yet.
>
> There is Mac malware, of course, and every few months there is something
> appropriately about it and yes, there are Mac users who run Windows, but
> I feel the overall effect is to arouse unnecessary concern
> among Mac users about such things.
> A.V.
Thanks for writing -- we always like to know your thoughts and questions
about the Infomanager. The reason for the "Malware Infomanager" is we're
getting more and more Windows and Unix users these days -- nearly 50%;
#2 Many readers use Windows or Unix at the office, that's significant;
#3 many readers use Macs, iPads, and the such, but use Android or other
smart phones. Malware is a huge issue with iPhones -- particularly those
using Windows or Google originated software.
Why lead? Well, maybe we shouldn't lead with that title.
We'll mix it up!
Thank you for writing, for sure!

Indie Developer, Mike Cunneen has released EggMaps HD 1.04
an iPad-only app that provides an easy interface to Google Maps, at full
resolution. Until EggMaps HD, iPad users had resorted to using the
website or iPhone versions of Google Maps (the latter at low-resolution,
