I see this list more as an announcement list than as a discussion list. Perhaps a lot of others do as well. I can also point out that the list is configured to reply to the sender, not to the group. Both of those reasons can explain low traffic. In this case, low traffic does not mean low value! If we lose this list, where are we expected to get this sort of info to distribute to our MUGs?
"MailMan" can be run on many servers, and it is not difficult to import the membership list from one server to the next. Why aim for failure when you could aim for total membership retention by migrating the membership list forward?
Does Apple think that MUG groups don't matter anymore? Why is this even a question?
