I would think they mean click
ware - which is occasionally associated with soft
ware that hijacks clicks - for example you'll launch something and get a weird unrelated ad pop up shortly after. This can affect desktop software as well as browsers by overriding normal launches with something that appears to do the same action, but launches the malware as well. In a web page you might have some form of 'drive by' clickware that appears to take you to the site you wanted, but has in the process launched a download or execution of something else nasty.
Basically anything trying to tempt you to click it ;)

From the Vol 12, Issue 69 email….mention is made of “click-wear”
I tried to find the concept by googling it…but wasn’t successful…likewise no info in Wikipedia.
So, just curious, what is click-wear
01 CAUTION Beware:
We really like to provide interesting and important content for our readers, however most all of today's tech and news sites are inundated with screen spam, stalker links and possible click-wear.
