I would think a simple applescript that
looks for the file to see if it the file is still growing. Something like
this would do.
set
source_file
to
choose file
tell
application
"Finder"
activate
set
theSize
to
0
set
theSize
to
physical size
of
file
source_file
set
y
to
0
if
theSize
is
less than
5000
then
set
copygood
to
"False"
return
copygood
else
repeat
while
theSize
is not
equal to
y
set
theSize
to
physical size
of
file
source_file
copy
theSize
to
y
--display
dialog "made it here" as text
delay
5
set
theSize
to
"1"
set
theSize
to
physical size
of
file
source_file
if
theSize
=
y
then
set
copygood
to
"True"
return
copygood
end
if
--display
dialog "file is still growing" as text
set
theSize
to
"1"
set
y
to
0
end
repeat
end
if
end
tell
