It is configured and my repost did echo back. I don't know why the first one did not.
I use the Get Specified Finder Items action in a workflow to drag and drop files from multiple locations. I would like to be able to do this in an app but I don't know if there is an action to do it.
I am running 10.4.11 and the app would have to open the panel so i could drag in the files. Then I would have to give it the OK to process them.
Can't you continue to use the Get Specified Finder Items action? In the action's options area, just set it to show when run. Then, when you run the workflow outside of Automator, the action's window will display, allowing you to drag files from multiple locations.
Hope this helps. Thank you. It did. I misunderstood the meaning of "show when run." I have not been able to drag images to the panel, but I can select them by clicking on the + box. Unfortunately, having gone to all the trouble to get the info to do this and testing it, I have to restart the app for each run. So, for an isolated run, the app is better. For continuous runs over several images, the workflow is better. |
