Mr. Vonk,
Since we have about five Xerox DocuColor 2060 and two new Xerox DC12
DocuColor machines all with Fiery RIP's I can say that I have some
experience with the workings of them. I personally don't have any complaints
about their documentation but if you look on the CD where the documentation
is and read the pdf I think called "Color Management" there will be a
section "Fiery Color Management" that describes the ColorWise defaults and
options. Though it is somewhat complicated as I have found all color
management to be I think Fiery has done a very good job in striking a
balance between the average office user and those of us who require greater
control over the color settings. Previously we had Scitex front ends on our
DocuColor 40's and the Fiery's are a distinct improvement. On the Command
Workstation of the 2060/DC12 and also in the printer driver, if you have
loaded it on a PC, there is a magnificent graphic representation of the
color information path that it takes to the printer. It's in the section
under "Expert Color" and is without a doubt the best visual workflow chart I
have ever seen for color profiles and transformation.
Hope this helps...
