Hello,
I need to purchase 5000K fluorescent bulbs for our studios and for soft
proofing in our digital print media labs. I've been looking at Philips
F32T8's, we must use F32's because of our ballasts. I am unsure of what is
acceptable CRI and design lumens among the range of bulbs they offer.
The F32TA/ADV/850/ALTO seems to fit our desire for a decent CRI, Lumens,
bulb life and it's environmentally friendly. The F32T8/TL950 has a better
CRI but seems lacking in other features. Would much be sacrificed if we
went with the F32TA/ADV/850/ALTO's lower CRI?
Here is a web link to the bulbs I've been comparing:
http://www.lighting.philips.com/nam/product_database/compare4.php?compare[]
=fluorproduct-112&compare[]=fluorproduct-101&compare[]=fluorproduct-94&comp
are[]=fluorproduct-92&compare[]=fluorproduct-87&compare[]=fluorproduct-83&c
ompare[]=fluorproduct-79&
If these are not appropriate do you have other suggestions for bulbs. An
off the shelf softproofing light box would be simple solution to the
softproofing issue, but is too expensive at this time.
Thanks,
