A.K.A, sRGB IEC61966-2.1, available in Photoshop v6 and higher.
sRGB uses the HDTV chromaticies of ITU-R 709-2. HDTV monitors have a gamma
response of 2.2 and white point of 6500K. Coincidence? I don't think so. The
folks at ATSC (governing body) thought it a good idea to conform to the PC
monitor since we are headed that way anyways. Who would argue otherwise?
If you wish to roll your own, you can create it in Photoshop by
selecting the custom RGB option at the top of the pull down list. This
option is only available when you check mark the advanced option in
Photoshop color settings window. ITU-R 709-2 primaries can easily be
selected from the pull down list and custom gamma and white point if you
wish to use a different setting other than sRGB.
