Yeah you had that headache too? I hate doing R&D for these RIP companies for
free. Oh well everyone has to learn at some point.
The only way I got around ColorChoice craziness was using a separated
postscript workflow. If you use a profiling product that provides Lin before
profiling, like Monaco Profiler Platinum, then you can get really good
results. Unfortunately, Gretag ProfileMaker does not provide Lin before
profiling. So it will be impossible to get Lin and ink limiting using the
RIP or before sending your profiling chart. Therefore the results will be
only mediocre without any process control even with the separated postscript
workflow.
