I don't think its possible...but it would be nice, at least for Lab.
What really bugs me about the info palette is that when soft proofing a
CMYK color space/intent other than the working CMYK space/Intent, the
CMYK values given in the info palette are not accurate...they still
represent the working CMYK space/intent. In order to get accurate CMYK
readings while soft proofing a profile other than your current working
space/intent (without actually converting the image), you have to open
up the Color Settings dialog and change the working space/intent. This
is a big headache for me as I frequently try a few different output
profiles (using different black generation and intents) on for size
before deciding which one will work out best. I suppose I could hit
command-Y and then use my Color Settings Dialog to choose my CMYK space
and intent, but I'd rather not change my working space all the time,
lest I forget I changed it and end up screwing something up. Does this
bother anyone else...or is there something I'm missing...
