I have been looking at the Eizo's over the last 2 weeks and have some
findings that are confusing.

I have looked at both the Eizo CG21 and the L985EX.

Both have been profiled using Gretag EyeOne Display2.

>From the profiles created it would seem that both of the screens are
identical. In fact they seem so similar as to suggest that both contain the
same hardware and use the same screen.

Obviously, the CG21 is more expensive and does come supplied with software
for calibration purposes. This software uses the Gretag EyeOne display 2
hardware and a proprietary software to perform the calibration.

The CG21 colour calibration software takes longer to build a profile than
Gretag's EyeOne Match 3.x

Now for the interesting bit...

When both the Gretag EyeOne Match profile and the CG21 proprietary profiles
are viewed in Colorthink the CG21 proprietary profile is substancially
bigger than that produced by the Gretag software.

I am a little confused as to how this is possible.

On further inspection it would also seem that the white point of the CG21
proprietary software is different to that of the Gretag software. In fact it
looks to be shifted slightly cooler.

Any advise would be gratefully received,

Michael
