visual distortion on CRT displays
I would like to chime in on the LaCie problem. When the LaCie19 Blue III (if I remember correctly) was the offering, I had purchased one from my local Mac dealer. I don't remember precisely what the issue was with this monitor, however distortion was also a problem. Returning to exchange it, I examined another monitor of the same model, at the reseller, and it also had the problem. Soon after, at a seminar in Bellevue, WA, there was the same model monitor being used for demoing another product. This monitor had the same issue. Needless to say, I gave up on the LaCie19 Blue III. So, I purchased the Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 2060u from the Mac reseller. I am totally content.
My first LaCie19 Blue (that is the model) still functions just fine. And it is considered old in today's world of imaging. It is missing individual gun controls. By the way, when I purchased this LaCie19 Blue, I purchased two of them. Both still are fine. However I now only own one of them.
I am looking for a reasonably priced 19 inch LCD. I have read on the forum BasICColor used with the i1Pro is a combination that would do a better job of profiling an LCD. Any more conclusions regarding BasICColor plus the i1Pro?
