Most modern rips can distinguish between vector and bitmap data, and
separate device link profiles could be used, one which maintains colour
accuracy for images and one the preserves "clean" colours and "Blacks" for
text, stipple panels, vignettes etc:
I am not recommending this option just saying its possible
