OK, that sounds reasonable. If the 380-to-400 nm range is not that
significant in the color matching functions for the standard observer, then
it seems that it's a bit of overkill to sample that far. But, being the
certified sucker I am for extra features, I think I will stay with my EyeOne
Pro and its 32 bands at 10 nm intervals.
