Yes I know, I have a 1290s.
I also produce my own profiles and I can assure you that on my printer a
greyscale does not reproduce equal steps all the way down the scale. At the
shadow end the last three but one show hardly any separation between steps
but a big jump to the last solid patch.
Having tested qti I can see the non linearity and the result of correcting
for it on B&W. Unfortunately I cannot linearize for colour and the shadow
areas show the problem very clearly.
However you might be a lucky punter.

Linearization process is not possible on this low budget printer.
