Grant -----Yes, the profile is linked to the monitor and the video card in each individual laptop. A student will have to have a specific profile made for a each monitor. In theory they would have to go around and make 20 profiles, one for each of the monitors, and remake the profile if the contrast and brightness buttons are moved (hopefully you can lock them down in software - if not educating the student does help). So all students have to make individual profiles or make them each time they sit down at a monitor or always use the same monitor. If your lucky and there is not much variation in your monitors, all the profiles will be similar. You could build a single "generic profile" from averages of your systems and hope it will work. But to be accurate and probably the simplest is to have each student calibrate every time they sit down and when ever possible use the same monitor - assign them seats. Also Windows system will drive the machine at a gamma of 2.2 where the Macs can have variable gammas 1.8 to 2.2 depending on preference.... so it will be hard to standardize. If you have more questions contact me offline we run about 200 colour managed systems so we have a fair bit of experience in doing this. good luck Howard
