converter combination forces a conversion through them there is no going
back. A custom profile made in precisely the same conditions as the
digital file, is the only bridge between the original scene colours and a
specific camera's colour behaviour.
The only other alternative is to manually calibrate the raw conversion using
a raw converter such as Adobe Camera Raw. Which may very well turn out to be
the better option, I am simply looking for a way to compare the two methods
and choose for myself.
