Usually people mean colorimetric accuracy in this context. Unlike with
scanning, its a rare case when one wants a colorimetric match. At the very least
one wants an "accurate" appearance match from the raw converter, at least as a
starting point. Then the user has a firm basis upon which to make editorial,
preferential, and rendering adjustment.

No. A good profile would result in an image whose appearance was that of
the scene viewed in the sunset.
