Klaus,
and for imageLab.tif, what is the magic incantation ?
1) create a device link profile (Lab to camprof):
icclink -v -G -ip /System/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/Generic\ Lab\
Profile.icc path/to/camprof.icc Lab2camera.icc
2) use it
cctiff Lab2camera.icc path/to/imageLAB.tif Lab2camera.tif
I'm glad that step 1 works even though "Generic Lab Profile.icc" is a
*colorspace* profile (the doc says "icclink takes two *device* ICC
profiles ...") The "magic incantation" would become somewhat lengthy
otherwise ;-)
For the record: These are "quick and dirty" examples. You should really
read the documentation and use the -i, -c and -d flags to select the
gamut mapping and specify the viewing conditions for the underlying
Color Appearance Model.
Quote: "The viewing condition information is used to map the profile PCS
(Profile Connection Space, which us either XYZ or L*a*b*) color into
appearance space (CIECAM02). The viewing conditions allow the conversion
into appearance space to take account of how color will be seen under
particular viewing conditions."
