While not leaping to the defense of Apple and Adobe, I have found exactly
the same thing as Andrew. And the data I generated agrees with that
perception.
Looking at data from the six targets I have printed, the differences between
the targets are well within the margin of error that is introduced by the
Epson 3800 itself.
That is two targets printed 12 hours apart, same file, same computer, same
printer. Delta E 2000 total 0.47, best 90% 0.41, worst 10% 1.03.
That's three versions of Photoshop, with both Mac and Windows print drivers.
I am not saying that people are not having issues, but I, like Andrew, don't
see that in the data. The fact that the data for a target from CS2 on a Win
XP box is basically the same for a Mac 10.6.1 box with CS4 says something.
