Have you considered using an anti-glare film for the new iMac?

I have one such piece on order for this laptop. As much as I try to adapt to
the glare, I find it too distracting.

The five year old 17 inch iMac is failing. In those days, matte
screen was the standard!
I will replace the iMac with the smallest one available. But in her office
with open blinds the way she wants her office to be, she will be extremely
unhappy And I will hear about it, and think she will say
"I want a PC" Oh boy.
I have considered the Mac mini. That way I can choose the monitor.
Her Mac is not for production.
This iMac is the only failure I have had with Macs. 1999 blue and
white G3, 2009 G4 dual 533, and two others are operating just fine!!!
