We see this often during a normal work day.
We use Mac's with Leopard, Photoshop CS3 and a Windows server. Yes,
the file disappears on the server finder window; we must Save As to
rescue the file or just Save and it remembers the file name in the
dialog.

Did you stumble across the bug that causes Photoshop CS5 to erase
images that are stored on a remote Mac?
At least you get to keep the image with a colour management bug :(
Anybody else suffering this problem?
You hit Save in CS5 and get a dialogue box stating:
Could not save "afpDeleted1502128"
because write access was not granted.
It's a good idea to do a Save As at this point because the image
that you are trying to save no longer exists on the server...
PS CS5 is running on two 10.6.6 (Mac Pro 2x quad core Xeon) clients
writing to a quad core G5 running OS 10.5.8. Both Macs are getting
the same problems. Normally happens once or twice a day but today we
are working on 16-bit PSDs that have come from a Red Camera and it
is happening repeatedly :(
