That’s just silly talk! I’ve built literally hundreds of profiles with ProfileMaker Pro and unless one selects V4, AND the host application has issues with V4 profiles, there is NO such cyan scum dot!
What doesn’t make sense is that the OP indicated that an older version of Photoshop didn’t exhibit this effect.

While it may not be a V4 profile issue (because CS4 Extended should show the same problem), blaming this on PMP profiles is simply incorrect.
And X-Rite’s i1Profiler product is no different! Applications that have issues (bugs) dealing with V4 profiles are going to produce these issues, but other applications can handle them just fine.
