Just because they announce new machines doesn't mean the existing models
have stopped working!
Just add some RAM ($100) to your current Macbook Pro, and you will have a
speed boost.
Moving to a PC if you are a Mac person is a major hassle, especially if
your habits are set and you have to do your own maintenance.
I do think that Apple's apparent decision to drop the 17" shows they are
out of touch with their user base, since another photographer complained to
me yesterday.
