Hi Mark,
neither did I see the issue as Adriano does in Photoshop (also I don't have Aperture) nor do I have a solution for you. But more information may help to investigate where the issue arises, unless it is a bug in Aperture or Mac OS X.
- Mac OS X version?
- Aperture version (latest, I guess)?
- profiling software and version?
- profile settings (version, LUT or matrix, whitepoint, etc.)?
- measurement device used for profiling?
Sharing the profile for further investigation could also help.
You can also check the profile for ICC conformance by yourself, using the free utility "Profile Dump" provided by the ICC at www.color.org (look in the ICC Resource Center).
It would be interesting if the issue also arises if you the generic display profile or a custom profile created using the Display Calibrator from the Display control panel or created by another software. For example basICCcolor display which comes as a two week full functional trial version.
Best
Claudio
