and not include you in the discussion ...
They often include people in the discussion, but it doesn't happen on
mailing lists. It happens, for example, if you are a developer and
signed up to take part in seed programs; or if you are a customer and
have a requirement. They may not listen to whining on these lists, or
to voices in the wilderness, but they certainly listen.
