I really need a list of open files in the system.
From a general perspective, the system doesn't want you to have a list
of open files. Just to start with, it's a moderate security leak to
advertise the existence of files you might not be able to search for.
However, there are a few legitimate uses for this sort of information.
What do you want the list for?
