If by "standard military exchange
server" you mean as implemented at Fort Monmouth, you can't. Entourage requires Exchange 2000 or
higher, and Ft Monmouth is using 5.5. Since POP3 and IMAP are not enabled
it can't be done from a Mac at Ft. Monmouth. What I have done with my Mac users (at Ft. Monmouth), on the advice
of several people from this list, is to connect them with Entourage to AKO
mail, and get their directory entry in the GAL to point to their AKO address, rather
than the other way around as it is configured now. You can connect to the
Global address book, at Fort Monmouth, with LDAP but your calendar and other collaboration features don't
work like they would if you could connect to the exchange server. Once
the exchange servers are upgraded, this problem should go away. I'm
in bldg 2700 with 16 Macs if you want to consult.

I just purchased Office 2004 for Mac. Are there instructions
anywhere to configure it with a standard military exchange server?
