My company is currently deploying the DoD PKI system using Common Access
Cards in support of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency and our other DoD
clients.
I was hoping someone here could provide some insight on using CAC with
Microsoft Entourage 2004. I have successfully set up the Apple CAC package
on our Jaguar and Panther platforms and can view cards using the Common
Access Card Viewer in the Utilities folder.
However, I am unsure as to the remainder of the process - namely exporting
the certificates for use in Entourage 2004 and using the CAC for signing and
encipherment with S/MIME. Also, emails that are sent to Entourage 2004
users that are digitally signed show up blank with a single attachment that
has the extension p7m. I cannot figure out how to make these readable
appropriately.
If anyone here can give me some direction or at least a few hints on the
process as I have been unable to locate the necessary documentation for this
process. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
