I know a procedure has been posted here about setting up

David,
As the author of the "Smart Card Configuration and Setup Guide for
Mac OS X 10.3", I should probably just repost the quick links to get
to it on my iDisk. Keep in mind that this is for Mac OS X 10.3.x
only and coming in Mac OS X 10.4 it is drastically improved with
almost no expended effort by user and admin. I will be updating the
Guide and posting that one as well.

Configuration Guide: SmartCardAdmin_v1.0.pdf
Supported OS: Mac OS X 10.3.x
One area I would like to add or expand on in the future is a section
specifically references Federal Government Smart Card -- Directory
Services setup guidance. This would ease the learning curve for many
who need to make minor config changes to work in their specific
environments -- ie, AD. This would also make sense in being
available in script/installer format for easy deployment.
If you have an immediate need for any specific Smart Card Reader
Driver, please do not hesitate to contact me directly in the interim.
