try using 'xxd' from the command line, and piping it through grep. That
should give you the offset that you're after. Alternatively, if you are
only trying to find out if the string exists, use the 'strings' utility
and pipe its output through grep to see if the string you are after
exists. Note that both options will take a long time to run, and that
you MUST pipe their outputs through some kind of filter, otherwise your
machine will likely have problems as the terminal tries to cache the
outputs of the commands.
