Another solution is to take the computer to an Apple Authorized service
provider, like an Apple Retail Store, and ask them to perform the work while
documenting it in Apple's repair tracking system. This should not void your
warranty since it's being performed by an authorized service provider.
At one Apple Retail Store, we were charged $85 per machine to physically
disconnect the iSight camera in some MacBook Pro's that we recently
purchased from a different vendor. They were very accommodating to this
request, and the charge seemed reasonable.
