Thanks Brian.
I now have a 64k CAC and it works great on 10.4.4 and 10.4.5 with Safari.
I'm using a flashed ActivCard USB Reader V2.0 with the older (4.13) version
of the firmware with no problems.
I have not found a configuration in which the 64K card will work with
Netscape/Firefox on 10.4.x or 10.3.9. Unless this can be made to work then
it won't be long until Panther is no longer a usable platform for DoD PKI.
Most of the issues people are having with 64K CACs on Tiger have to do with
switching from using Netscape to Safari. The step of exposing the
X509Certificates keychain in the "Keychain List" in the keychain.app seems
to be all that is required.
I have not run across any "old driver problems" that I know of.
I can't confirm problems with CAC logon and 10.4.5 because we're not doing
that.
